We had approximately 50 people of all ages in attendance (from 1 years
old to some in their 70's+ and all ages in between). Thank God for the
beautiful weather - we met outside in the parking lot of our church. We
saluted our flag, prayed, had a word from our pastor, sang, and prayed
some more. Everyone had the opportunity to pray out loud for our
country, state and town as well as for personal petitions. We also had
some people take Bibles for themselves and to give to others. The
Bible tells us we have not because we ask not - well we asked and now
we are waiting to see the fruit.

We ended the evening with our children with American Flags singing
America the Beautiful and a salvation call for the lost.  The Lord was honored by the unity of the spirit as several churches were represented at our event.

Prayer Gatherings in Gloucester County at School this NDP

See You at the Pole” Pleasant Valley School, Mullica Hill – at 7:30 a.m. approximately eight parents and eight students met around the flagpole behind the school.  It was a powerful time in prayer led by Rev. Joseph Fortunato of Faith Fellowship Ministries of Southern New Jersey.  The other parents joined in freely and the students as well.  About 600 students passed by as we were praying being that their busses unloaded just before we finished.

“See You at the Pole” Harrison Township Elementary School, Mullica Hill – at 7:50 a.m. approximately 12 parents and students met around the flagpole in front of the school.  The prayer was led by Pastor Hal Russell from Fellowship Bible Church, which I was told was a great time in prayer.  Hundreds of students passed by as they were praying after being dropped off from their bus.

“See You at the Pole” Washington Township Municipal Building, Sewell – at 9:30 a.m. approximately 12 adults and six children met around the flagpole in front of the Municipal Building to pray, which was led by Rev. Joseph Fortunato of Faith Fellowship Ministries of Southern New Jersey.  There were three other church represented including Gloucester County Community Church, Living Waters and Holy Family Catholic Church.  This was our first event like this in Sewell for quite some time, if ever, and a new beginning for the years to come.  Plans were made at that time to carry on this tradition.

“Meet Me After School” After School Program Harrison Township Elementary School, Mullica Hill – at 3:00 p.m. approximately 175 children and adults met in the gymnasium for a “Donut Man” concert featuring Rob Evans.  As the children filed in from school, they unloaded their book bags, were given a baggie with mini donuts and a bottle of water, and were ushered to a seat on the floor in front of the stage.  The concert began at around 3:30 p.m. with various children praying for our country, president and school.  At the close of the concert, the children were led in a prayer of salvation, then given an “I prayed” sticker as they left the building with their parents.  It was an overwhelming success due to the help of the local Moms in Touch prayer group which primarily coordinated the event, supported the concert with financial donations, donated the water bottles, and gathered donations for the donuts.  Other efforts included wonderful support from the school staff and Superintendent’s office, as well as donations from the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Trinity United Methodist Church, Rita’s Italian Ice of Mantua, and Faith Fellowship Ministries of Southern New Jersey

Flemington - 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm - The Old Courthouse, Main St., Flemington - Contact: Laurie Wong at 908-806-4533 or at LW3700@aol.com

Our NDP observance last night in Flemington went really well.  We had the greatest unity yet and our attendees (flowing between 50-75 in number)  all seemed to be in one accord.  There wasn't the usual coming and going and other activity. Switching the location back to the historic courthouse was a very good thing.  The only "upset" was upon arrival we found that the top platform of the steps had been jack hammered by construction crews the day before eliminating our platform.  Ooops was the response of the officials.... So we set up on the sidewalk and used it as a prophetic declaration for  Ps. 11.  If the foundations crumble,  what will the Righteous do?"   Turn to God like Samuel as God called him in an apostate world.
Turn to God Hunterdon County/NJ/America!  and God will honor you!

When we began setting up at the Court House,   I felt the Holy Spirit prompting me that we needed special prayer for our troops and it would be significant to have a parent of someone who was serving to pray.  I asked Him to send someone in the crowd as I didn't know of anyone that was coming.

AS the band began to warm up, a man in a green jeep drove by,  slowed and asked what we were doing.  He did a U turn and parked all excited and said that he had no idea that anything like this was done in America.  I explained it all to him and then he (JIm)  told me that both his sons were in the service,  one to be deployed to Iraq in the next few weeks and May 4th was the anniversary the commissioning he received right down the road from where we stood.  Every time JIm drives down Main St.,  he  prays for the troops.  So I asked him to stand with us and pray.  It was both moving and powerful.

God is awesome!

**Trenton - Friday, May 5th - 12 noon - hosted by Prayer Ministries of NJ, led by Laurie Wong of Women's Aglow - State House, Annex - Committee Rm. 1 - Contact: Patricia Wenzel at 1-888-NJ PRAYER or patricia@praynj.org

Lorie and Elizabeth confessed before the Lord "no agenda but His own".  They started the time with about a dozen intercessors  in worship  inviting the Holy Spirit's presence.  After about 40 minutes of corporate prayer for our state and nation,  Laurie asked if any statehouse workers were present and wished to have prayer.  Several came forward and the anointing and presence of the Lord was very strong as we corporately prayed for them and several gave prophetic words.  At about this point a single woman entered the room to join us.  It was well after 12:30 so I figured the Senator hadn't been able to join us. She asked for special prayer and we all prayed for her requested prayer for the legislature.  At one point God impressed me that she was a lady mantled with His grace and authority and perhaps did she know the authority she held with God,  not to mention man?   Well,  after the prayer,  I asked her name and discovered it was indeed a state Senator.  I warmly hugged her and we all expressed delight and honor that she had joined us... God is sooo good.  I felt that He allowed her identity to be hidden from me so I wouldn't be intimidated and His grace and love could naturally pour forth to her.  I feel that all were blessed by the day and God was honored.  He surely honored me.

We at House of Hope were blessed of the Lord to have 25 humble prayers in attendence at the National Day of Prayer.  Our hearts were attuned to standing in the gap for our Nation.
We praised our God with exhuberance and began to sing songs of deliverence over our Nation which brought the presence of God into the sanctuary.  A prophetic song then came forth calling the nation into its rightful place.  We wept over the leaders of the Nation as we called out each one of their names and asked God to give them wisdom, guidance and strength to fulfil their important roles.  We asked for forgiveness for the way those in our Nation have laughed and mocked our God and openly rebelled against Him and His word.

We know that His word will not return void and we were honored to participate with all others around this great Nation and for the release of multiplied angelic activity that was sent forth on behalf of all the prayers of the saints of God.

There was a fine turnout of 40-50 persons Thursday, May 4, at the Cultural Center for our nation's 55th annual National Day of Prayer observance. This year's theme was "America, Honor God," and the scriptural basis for this was taken from 1 Samuel 2:30, ?Those who honor me I will honor?. Dr. Marie Martin led us in the singing during the event. After the Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance, remarks about Americas National Day of Prayer were read by Joan Schaefer, vice-president of the Catholic Society and we sang America the Beautiful. After Mayor Puccis Day of Prayer Proclamation was read by Carol Donovan, a responsive reading of praise and The Lords Prayer was led by Dorothy Kopil, president of The Catholic Society. Walt Donovan read a thought provoking prayer of repentance that was offered by a Rev. Joe Wright at a meeting of the Kansas House of Representatives in 1996. Don Winchell, assistant leader of the Protestant Fellowship, read Psalm 51, after which we sang Amazing Grace. Prayer was offered for America and its leaders, and before the benediction, Dr. Marie Martin led us in "God Bless America," invoking God's grace upon our nation.

Pastor Tom Bartha from the PL Reformed Church led us in prayer.  There were ten adults and two children that gathered around the flagpole outside the Muncipal Bldg.  We took turns offering thanks to the Lord, petitioning for the President, Congress, state legislators, town officials, etc.  Then we read the official prayer for 2006.  We finished with God Bless America.

What beautiful weather the Lord sent us!  I wish that every town would participate and that more people were aware of the National Day of Prayer.  The local papers carried our notification and I distributed some flyers from the NDP group.  I'm not sure if our location was carried in your newspaper notification.  If not, I will again try to be earlier next year.

We had 2 former troops that were in Iraq and God brought them home safely this year and I invited them to come dress up so we could use them as a point of contact to pray for our troops It was so impacting people started to cry. I did something different this year I had people gather and go to someone they didn't know and just put their hands on them and pray for them it was awesome got some good feedback on that one people were touched. I also had people from the audience come up and pray for a need senior veterans were there it was awesome I had a 87 year old veteran come up and said its all about the grace and love of God that unites us together. A key note our acting mayor is arabic and he was right in front telling the people how much he appreciates me hosting the national day of prayer and Giving God all the Glory it was truly awesome. We sang God bless America together. Tears started coming down my face its was truly awesome then I looked and some many others were crying as well. Glory be to God the almighty one. Salem - 6:30PM - 8:30 PM - Old Salem Courthouse, Broadway and Market St. - Contact Rev. Terri Foster at  TerriFoster@comcast.net or 856-935-7599

It’s hard to believe that this is our 6th year of holding the NDP in Salem City.  Here are the highlights.

·        The official town crier came dressed in his colonial clothing and cap.  He rang his bell and proclaimed at all 4 corners of the courthouse the Proclamation signed by the mayor of Salem County: Earl Gage.

·        In the courthouse I was surprised to see this huge round pillar in the middle of the building.  It had a border around the top of leaves, but to me it looked like fire.  I prayed that God’s pillar of fire would be with us that night.

·        There was a very large painting done by Ron Lehew the town crier hanging on the wall that prophetic declared: “ Our past is our future.”  This went along with the history of the courthouse and how we can call on the anointings of the past and also the fresh anointings of the future for our community.  Former and later rain.

·        The mayor spoke and prayed a powerful prayer over our local government and the justice system.

·        The youth prayed for families and the return of the fathers.

·        There were 68 people at the prayer meeting and 11 churches represented.

·        We used the sample that you went over at the coordinators meeting for repentance: Call for Leaders to Lead, Unity, and Humility. Followed by Communion. It was a precious time. It was after we completed this section that the prayer really came forth powerfully.

·        Prayer meeting lasted 2 hours.

·        It was proclaimed that this meeting was a seed for the three open-air prayer meetings being held in June, July and August. See Attached brochure.

NDP service at Andover Subacute Center.
