Newark - 11:30 am - 1:00 pm - Newark City Hall, 920 Broad St. - Contact: 973-563-5333 for more information

The Newark event went very well. The mayor and other city officials were present. In fact, the mayor (Cory Booker) led the prayer for the City and dedicated the city to Jesus Christ. It was indeed a heartfelt prayer to God. There were about 225 participants -- it lasted only about one hour fifteen minutes so we had a good crowd.

Belleville - 7:30 P.M. - 8:30 P.M - Christian Apostolic Church, 77 Wallace Street - Contact Mary Alfieri at 973-751-2290

Milburn - 12:00 noon - 12:45 pm -First Baptist Church, 132 Spring St. (Millburn Ave. & Spring St.) - Contact Person - Carol Webster at 973-467-0840
The Millburn event held in the First Baptist Church, was about 45 min. in length and attended by about 75 folks. This year we hung a large banner on the church's property which was visible on Millburn Ave. (the main thorofare) stating "Celebrate the National Day of Prayer -- the first Thursday in May." We think it attracted a few who hadn't previously attended. God was glorified as "God Bless America" was sung; Millburn Proclamation and Ex. 20:1-17 read; Prayer of National Confession followed by leaders praying for government, families, education, media, military & teens were offered.
