Duties of an Event Sponsor
Plan and promote an event in observance of the National Day of Prayer at your school, business, church, synagogue or club.
Secure a room or locations making sure you get proper approval.
Let your state coordinator know day, time and location of your event by April 1.
Promote your event through flyers, announcements, church bulletins, etc.
Use the NDP Adopt-a-Leader program to "adopt" city, county, state or federal officials and commit to praying for them for one year.
Invite a band or worship team to provide patriotic and/or worship music.
Compile a list of national, state and local public officials to distribute during your event.
Submit a report to the NDP office and to your state coordinator by May 30th of each year.
Request a proclamation from your community Mayor, proclaiming the first Thursday of May a day of Prayer in your community. For suggestions see: http://www.angelfire.com/nc/liftup/dearmayor.html
